River City Fiction highlights the vibrant community of fiction authors, readers, independent bookstores, and libraries in Richmond, Virginia.
Why start River City Fiction?
At the 2010 VA Festival of the Book, I heard a reading from Richmond Noir and wanted to celebrate the literary talent and resources in the city. I decided to read more books by Richmond authors, attend literary events, connect with other readers, and frequent the city’s independent bookstores and libraries. The next logical step was to share that information with fellow readers. With lots of help from my husband and a network of other bibliophiles, River City Fiction was born.
