Dr. Nelson is a partner in Forensic Psychology Associates in

Chesterfield, Va. and serves on the clinical faculty of the Department

of Psychiatry at MCV. He specializes in evaluations for criminal

matters and has been an expert in nationally recognized cases such as

those of Lorena Bobbitt, Daryl Atkins, and Lee Boyd Malvo. He writes:

“I’ve evaluated about 500 murder defendants and I’ve been an expert in

250 capital murder cases. About 14 of the people I’ve evaluated have

been executed and some are still sitting on death row. So, this is a

topic on which I may have much to say to help spawn your imaginations
